Je profite que nous soyons en période du Yacht Show version 2017 pour vous parler de Janet. Je dois vous avouer que j'ai entendu parler de Janet il y a bien longtemps par une personne qui lui est très chère et un jour, ou plus exactement un soir, nos chemins se sont croisés parmi des milliers d'invités. Il me paraissait évident de vous en dire plus sur sa personnalité, son parcours dans le yachting et sa vie en Principauté.

Janet est issue d'une famille grecque et a grandi entre de nombreux voyages et la Principauté. C'est sur le Rocher, qu'elle a commencé sur les bancs de l'école. Des années où déjà l'eau et la mer étaient ses éléments : la pratique de la voile et de l'aviron. La vie l'a amenée en Grèce pour passer son Bac puis elle choisit la délicieuse ville étudiante d'Aix-en-Provence pour poser ses 'valises universitaires'. Elle obtient deux Masters : l'un en droit international et européen et l'autre en droit maritime.
Au regard de ses excellents résultats, c'est tout naturellement à Monaco qu'on lui propose son premier job. C'est une rencontre qui va la propulser dans le monde du yachting. Elle fit ses débuts au Luxembourg en apprentissage du 'back office' et très vite on lui donne l'autonomie qui lui permet d'enrichir ses compétences professionnelles à la vitesse grand V. Janet apprend vite et même très vite.

Janet c'est une jeune femme pétillante, polyglotte, souriante avec une voix qui respire la bonne humeur. Pour elle, 'tout est possible'. C'est une passionnée de yachting et une acharnée de travail, même encore aujourd'hui enceinte de son premier enfant.
C'est elle qui a développé le service maritime au sein du groupe Rosemont. Son rôle : conseiller les armateurs sur 'comment acheter, structurer, financer, enregistrer, assurer, et administrer au quotidien leurs bateaux'. Pour cela, elle est à la tête d'une équipe de 8 personnes. C'est elle qui chapeaute Rosemont Yacht Services et Rosemont Yacht Management.
Avec sa vivacité d'esprit, Janet a besoin que ça bouge. C'est dans un monde où justement rien n'est figé et où tout doit se réinventer qu'elle s'épanouit. Elle est aussi conférencière ! En effet, dans un monde où tout évolue vite, elle est plus que jamais force de proposition. Ses veilles et sa gymnastique intellectuelle l'amènent à tenir des conférences à Singapour, Miami, Barcelone sur les avancées juridiques et fiscales en matières de yachting.
Tout simplement brillantissime !!!!
Elle se réjouit de cette nouvelle édition du Yacht Show, le salon du yachting grande Plaisance le plus prestigieux du monde !

*********ENGLISH VERSION*********
Because we are in the Yacht Show period, it is a good opportunity to tell you about Janet. I must admit that I heard about Janet a long time ago by a person who is very dear to her and one day, or more exactly one evening, she came across me among thousands of guests. It seemed obvious to me to tell you more about her personality, her career in yachting sector and her life in the Principality.
Janet comes from a Greek family and grew up between many travels and Monaco. It was on the 'Rocher' that she started on the benches of the school. Time when water and sea were already her elements : the practice of sailing and rowing. Life brought her to Greece to take and get her Bachelor and then she chose the delightful student city of Aix-en-Provence to put down her 'university suitcases'. She got two Masters : one in International & European law and the other in maritime law.
In view of her excellent results, it is quite naturally in Monaco that she found her first job. She was introduced to somebody who rapidly promoted her into the world of yachting. She made her start in Luxembourg to learn about the 'back office' and very quickly she was given the autonomy which allowed her to enhance her professional skills at the rate of knots. janet learns quickly and even very quickly.
Janet is a young woman, sparkling, polyglot, smiling with a good mood voice. According to her,
"Everything is possible".
She is passionate about yachting and a workaholic, even today that she is pregnant of her first child.
She developed the maritime department within the Rosemont Group. Her role : to advise shipowners on "how to buy, structure, finance, register, insure, and manage their vessels on a daily basis'. For this, she leads a team of 8 people. She is in charge of Rosemont Yacht Services & Rosemont Yacht Management.
With her quick-wittedness, Janet likes when things are moving. It is in the world where precisely nothing is fixed and where everything has to be reinvented that gives her a sense of fulfillment. She is also a lecturer ! Indeed, in a sector where everything moves rapidly, she is more than ever proactive. Her legal watch and her intellectual capital lead her to hold conferences in Singapore, Miami, Barcelona regarding the legal and tax advances in yachting matters.
She is delighted with this new Edition of the Yacht Show, the most prestigious in the world !
She was kind enough to tell us more about her habits and her favorite addresses in Monaco.

Où vas tu quand tu dois organiser à Monaco un déjeuner professionnel? Where do you go when you have to organize a business lunch?
JANET : J'aime beaucoup aller au Maya Bay si j'ai envie d'une ambiance cosy, d'un peu d'exotisme et un peu de temps devant moi. C'est un endroit plein de bonnes ondes. J'adore leur parfum d'ambiance. Si j'ai moins de temps et toujours proche de mon bureau, j'aime aller à l'Avenue 31. La Tagliata est un régal. Le Yacht Club de Monaco est aussi un endroit de choix surtout pour des rendez-vous purement 'yachting'. I love going to Maya Bay if I want a cosy atmosphere, a bit of exotism and a bit of more time in front of me. It is a place of good vibes. I love their frangrance atmosphere. If I have less time and close to my office, I like to go to Avenue 31. The Tagliata is a treat. The Yacht Club of Monaco is also a place of choice especially for appointments purely 'yachting'.
Quelle est la déco d’hôtel que tu préfères ? Which is your favorite interior design hotel ?
JANET : J'aime beaucoup le Monte-Carlo Bay. On s'y sent bien de suite que ce soit pour prendre un thé, un verre le soir, profiter des lagons, se prélasser au SPA. Dans un tout autre genre, j'aime également l'Hôtel de Paris et l' Hôtel Hermitage. Ce sont deux hôtels chargés d'histoire, d'émotions et de véritables institutions au sein de la Principauté. Je pense à mon papa à chaque fois que je rentre dans l'Hôtel de Paris et que je touche la patte en or du fameux cheval à l'entrée comme quand j'étais petite. D'ailleurs, il faut faire un voeu! Certaines habitudes résistent au temps! I love the Monte Carlo Bay. It feels right away wether it's for a tea, a drink in the evening, to enjoy the lagoons, to bask in the spa. In a completely different way, I also like the Hotel de Paris and the Hotel Hermitage. There are two hotels full of history, emotions and true institutions within the Principality. I think of my dad every time I go to the Hotel de Paris and touch the golden leg of the famous horse at the entrance, as when I was little child. Besides, you must make a vow! Some habits resist time!

Où vas tu prendre un verre avec une amie? Where are you going to have a drink with a friend ?
JANET : Au 3 Tapas. C'est mon coté latin qui parle. Bons vins, délicieux tapas, ambiance chaleureuse, on se croirait à Barcelone. Yepa ! At the 3 Tapas. It's my latin side that speaks. Good wines, delicious tapas, warm atmosphere, you would think you are in Barcelona. Yepa!
L'endroit à Monaco où tu te sens comme à la maison? What is the place in Monaco where you feel like at home ?
JANET : Pour une 'yachty girl' comme moi, je dis bien évidemment le Yacht Club. On peut y passer toute la journée que ce soit pour nager, faire du sport, boire un verre entre amis, se prélasser dans la bibliothèque, assister à un cocktail, faire du business ... et il faut dire que le cadre est tout simplement magique. For a 'yachty girl' like me, I say the Yacht Club. You can spend all day swimming, sporting, having drink with friends, lounging in the library, attending a cocktail, doing business... and it must be said that the setting is simply Magic.
La vue exceptionnelle de Monaco que tu préfères ? What is the Monaco's best view you prefer?
JANET : Sans contestation la vue du Port depuis le Rocher. J'ai également une image de Monaco que j'aime particulièrement: celle du Casino et ses anciens jardins. A chaque fois que je partais en vacances et que j'arrivais par le jardin exotique, je me disais 'enfin' à la maison dès que je voyais ces jardins. Cette vue me manque... Les Pavillons, ce n'est pas pareil. Without question the view of the Port from the Rock. I also have an image of Monaco that I particularly like: the Casino and its old gardens. Every time I went on holiday and came through the exotic garden, I would say 'at last' at home as soon as I saw the gardens. I miss this sight... The Pavillons are not the same.
Une petite escapade hors de la ville ? A break out of the city ?
JANET : Nous habitons une région formidable : mer, campagne, petits villages perchés, montagne, l'Italie....Il y a tellement de possibilités. Dernièrement mes escapades furent plus sportives : du kite surf dans le Var. We live in a wonderful area: sea, countryside, small hillyop villages, mountain, Italy... There are so many possibilities. Lately my escapades were more on the sport side: kite surfing in the Var.
JANET : Sans hésiter entre les mains magiques de Malvina au SPA Cinq Mondes du Monte-Carlo Bay. Tout simplement 'Whaou'. Without hesitation in the magic hands of Malvina at the Cinq Mondes Spa of Monte Carlo Bay hotel. Just 'Whaa'.
Quand tu veux manger bio ? When you want to have an organic lunch or organic dinner ?
JANET : Ca manque un vrai resto bio qui cuisine aussi du sans gluten. L'Avenue 31, le Bouchon, le Mozza et le Stars ont quelques plats. It lacks a real organic restaurant that also cooks gluten free. Avenue 31, Bouchon, Mozza and the Stars have some dishes.
Un événement que tu ne raterais pour rien au monde ? An event that you would not miss for anything at all ?
JANET : Le Monaco Yacht Show ! J'aime la folie et l'effervescence qui entourent cet événement majeur dans le monde de la grande plaisance. The Monaco Yacht Show! I love the madness and excitement surrounding this major event in the Yachting world.
