Aujourd'hui je suis particulièrement fière de vous annoncer que la photographe du Blog 

- Beatriz M O R E N O - 

expose ses oeuvres à la Galerie M E T A  à partir du 12 OCTOBRE. C'est une très belle occasion d'aller à la rencontre de cette artiste de talent et d'en connaitre davantage sur son univers et sa personnalité.
Today I am particularly proud to announce that our Blog's photographer, Beatriz Moreno, exhibits her works to the Gallery META from October 12th. It is a great opportunity to meet this talented artist and to better know her world and personality.

Le travail de Beatriz vous l'avez déjà aperçu tout au long des articles mais dans cette exposition elle révèle un autre aspect de son art. Elle nous en dit plus :
You already had a taste of Beatriz's work throughout Blog's articles but in this exhibition she reveals another aspect of her art. She tells us more:

Bea, comment t'es venu la passion de la photo ? Bea, how came to you the passion of photography? 

Je dessine depuis l'âge de 4 ans. J'ai suivi une école d'art au départ pour devenir infographiste et illustratrice. C'est dans cette école que j'ai commencé à étudier la photo. A la fin de mes études, mon professeur de photo m'a dit une phrase qui m'est restée : "s'il te plait, Bea, ne laisse jamais la photo, tu as un magnifique regard". Il m'a encouragé à présenter un concours de photos d'architecture et j'ai gagné le premier prix. J'ai alors pris conscience que la photo n'allait plus me quitter. Mais c'est en 2006 lors du festival International de Photographie à Madrid, Photo Espana,  en découvrant le travail de Luis Gonzalez Palma, photographe du Guatemala, que j'ai eu le déclic en moi.
I have been drawing since the age of 4. At first, I attended an Art school to become a computer 's graphic artist and an illustrator. It was in this school that I began to study photography. At the end of my studies, my teacher told me something that remained to me: "Please Bea, never leave photography, you have a magnificent look". He encouraged me to present a Architecture photography contest and I won the first prize. I then realized that photo would not leave me. But it was in 2006 during the Madrid International Photography festival, Photo Espana, by discovering the work of Luis Gonzales Palma, a photographer from Guatemala, that I had the click in me.

Comment te définis-tu ? Ton style ? How do you define yourself? Your style? 

Je suis une personne gaie, positive, créatrice et très observatrice. Quand je fais un portrait, j'ai la capacité de voir l'âme de la personne et de capter toujours sa beauté. Je m'inspire des photos du XIXème siècle avec un rendu particulier notamment comme chez William Henry Fox Talbot et Julia Margaret Cameron. J'adore les anciens processus de développement de cette époque. Ma personnalité dans la photo est un peu surréaliste, plutôt noir et blanc. Je suis très intéressée par le fonctionnement de l'inconscient en laissant de coté toute rationalité. Je me laisse guider. J'aime aussi l'idée de faire de la photo comme un dessin. C'est mon coté illustratrice qui ressort.
I am a cheerful, positive, creative and very observant person. When I do a portrait, I have the ability to see the person's soul and always capture his beauty. I draw inspiration from pictures of the XIXth Century with a particular rendering especially as William Henry Fox Talbot and Julia Margaret Cameron. I love the old development processes of this era. My personality in the photo is a bit surreal, rather black and white. I am very interested in the functioning of the unconscious while leaving aside any rationality. I let myself be guided. I also like the idea of making photography like a drawing. It is my illustrator's side that stands out.

Comment t'es venu l'idée de ce travail avec les animaux ? How came to you the idea of this work with animals?

J'ai toujours aimé la nature et je l'ai beaucoup photographiée. J'ai d'ailleurs participé à un Blog spécialisé dans les photos de nature. C'est une thématique qui m'a toujours attiré. Je ne peux pas vraiment expliquer d'où vient l'idée des têtes d'animaux sur des corps d'hommes. Un travail de l'inconscient certainement.  Mais après les avoir réalisés, je me suis souvenue que déjà petite je dessinais des animaux avec des corps humains. Naturellement. Est-ce une réminiscence ?
I always liked the Nature and I photographed it a lot. I alos participated in a blog specializing in naturalist photography. It is a theme that has always attracted me. I can not really explain where the idea of animal's head on human bodies came from. A work of the unconscious certainly. But after realizing them, I remembered that already young I was drawing animals with human bodies. Naturally. Is it a reminiscence?

C'est la première fois que tu exposes en Principauté, qu'est-ce elle représente pour toi ? This is the first time you exhibit in Monaco, what does the Principality represent for you?
C'est un privilège ! C'est effectivement une première fois à Monaco ! Monaco représente l'élégance, le luxe et a une image très internationale. Je sais qu'elle fait beaucoup pour les artistes. Je suis très contente d'y présenter mon travail et surtout dans la Galerie META. Une galerie qui est tournée vers la nouveauté et les artistes.
It's a privilege! It is indeed a first time in Monaco! Monaco represents elegance, luxury and has a very international image. I know it does a lot for artists. I am very happy to present my work and especially in the Gallery META, a gallery oriented towards novelty and artists.

Peux-tu évoquer ta collaboration dans le Blog My Little Monaco ? Can you talk about your collaboration with Blog My Little Monaco ? 
My Little Monaco, j'adore, j'adore, j'adore...Lorsque j'ai connu Agathe, nous avons tout de suite 'connecté' ! J'ai beaucoup aimé l'idée de son Blog, qui fait connaitre la Principauté à travers des adresses, des talents, des événements : l'art de vivre à Monaco. Je savais que Virginie Broquet y collaborait avec ses illustrations et j'ai tout de suite proposé d'y participer. C'est une belle aventure !
My Little Monaco, I love it, I love it... When I first met Agathe, we immediately "connected"! I really liked the idea of this Blog which makes the Principality known through addresses, talents, events: the livestyle in Monaco. I knew Virginie Broquet was collaborating with her illustrations and I immediately offered to participate. It's a great adventure!
